Spectrophotometric determination of Cu(II) in water with phenylfluorone in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone and inorganic electrolytes

Abstract

We have investigated the impact of polyvinylpyrrolidone and additions of NaCl, Na2SO4, KNO3, and Na3PO4 on chemical-analytical characteristics of the photometric reagent phenylfluorone. On this basis we have proposed a technique of determining Cu(II) in drinking water with a detection limit of 6 μg/dm3.
