Effect of Hydrogenation on the Structure and Magnetic Properties of Tb(Fe,Co)11Ti Compounds

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

A study is performed of the effect hydrogenation has on the structure and magnetic properties of TbFe11 – xCoxTi compounds with different contents of cobalt (x = 0, 3, 4, and 5). An X-ray diffraction phase analysis is performed, and the crystal structure parameters of hydrides are determined. The experimental field and temperature dependences of hydride single crystal magnetization are studied in magnetic fields up to 50 kOe in the 5–300 K range of temperatures. The constants of magnetocrystalline anisotropy are determined.
