Abstract

A classic theoretical solution is used to estimate the value of the deformation rate intensity factor during the course of the extrusion of a bar. The experiment was performed on samples of brass. A law of the variation of the thickness of a layer of intensive deformations near the friction surface was determined. The obtained relationship is analyzed and its generalizations are proposed.
