The signifcance of the problem of pulmonary embolism is currently determined by an increase in the incidence of various diseases, postoperatve and post-traumatc embolisms in complicated surgical interventons, the circumstances that the pulmonary embolism is the third most common cause of death in developed countries, yielding only cardiovascular disease and malignant neoplasms. Object and methods. The results of the dynamic observaton of the treatment of pulmonary embolism in 36 patents who were on inpatent treatment in Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital. Studies were conducted in the period of 4-9 days. As a result of dynamic observaton in 11 patents, the course of treatment was considered positve and no correcton of treatment was performed. In 15 patents, there was a slight positve dynamics of the state of perfusion of pulmonary tssue and they were given a correcton of therapeutc treatment – an increase in the dose of thrombolytc drugs. In 10 patents, the disease was considered unfavourable – an increase in the number and area of lesions was detected, therefore, patents were given surgical interventon to eliminate thrombotc masses from the pulmonary artery system. Results. Based on the results of our observatons, it has been established that the use of perfusion pulmoscinigraphy makes it possible to study perfusion of the lungs, to determine their anatomo-topographic state and the amount of functoning parenchyma. With its help, it is possible to detect minimal metabolic disturbances in the lungs. Conclusions. Perfusion pulmonary scintgraphy in connecton with sufcient informatveness, low invasiveness and relatvely low radiaton load, can be used in Ukraine as a method of dynamic observaton of PE treatment.
