The hydraulic study of various types of the artificial valve was carried out with a pulse duplicator. As an ideal artificial aortic valve, it is necessary for the valve to have the ability to prevent back-flowing completely and no systolic gradient. From this point, the leaflet valve was superior to the caged valve. As an artificial mitral valve, the caged cup valve demonstrated better hydraulic characteristics.
