An Early Miocene flathead. (Pisces Platycephalidae) from Wynyard, Tasmania

posted on 2023-11-02, 05:51 authored by KD CorbettA well-preserved flathead skull from the Early Miocene marine beds near Wynyard is described. A comparison with the modern sand flathead Platycephalus bassensis Cuvier reveals a very close similarity.
