Abstract

We evaluate a usefulness of PDD and PDT using talaporfin sodium (Laserphyrin®) for an advanced age patient with inoperable gastric cancer. He was treated by one course of Photofrin® PDT and 3 courses of Laserphyrin® PDT with PDD during September, 2009 to June, 2011. Massive growing gastric cancer located in cardia was successfully treated by 4 times of PDT without serious complication; therefore he could eat until his death cause of other disease in October, 2011. Especially, Laserphyrin® PDT is safe and effective treatment for advanced age patients suffering from inoperable gastric cancer.
