초록

본 연구의 목적은 수학교사 학습의 측면에서 공동체의 의미와 역할을 살펴보기 위함이다. 이를 위해 선행 연구들을 통해 다양한 교사 공동체를 탐색하고 미국의 수학교사 공동체의 한 사례를 통하여 공동체의 맥락에서 교사 학습의 네 가지 구성 요소인 교사, 활동, 의미, 학습에 대하여 살펴본다. 그리고 교사 학습을 위한 맥락, 물리적인 시간과 공간 제공, 활동 공유를 가능하게 하는 공동체의 역할을 논한다. 본 연구는 공동체의 맥락에서 교사 학습을 이해하고자 하는 교사 교육자들에게 도움이 될 것이며 앞으로 교사 연구를 설계하고 수행하는 데 도움이 될 것이다.
