영적으로 통합된 기독(목회)상담의 단일사례연구 : Conn, Sperry, 권수영의 이론을 중심으로

A Single Case Study of a Spiritually Integrated Christian(Pastoral) Counseling : Focusing on the Theories of Conn, Sperry, and Kwon

오늘날 많은 사람들이 더욱 영성을 추구하고 그들의 삶 속에서 영적 차원을 통합해가고 있다. 이처럼 영성과 심리의 긴밀한 관계를 이유로 영적통합 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 Conn, Sperry, 권수영의 영성통합 이론으로 영성통합에 대해 이해하고, 상담에 적용하여 고찰한다. 연구방법은 6회기로 진행한 영적으로 통합된 기독(목회)상담의 단일사례 연구이다. 연구 목적은 영성평가, 상담과정, 내담자와 상담자의 상담의 경험과 결과를 분석하고, 영적으로 통합된 기독(목회)상담의 접근을 제안하는 데 있다. 상담과정에서 수퍼비전에서 제안한 세 이슈다루기, 상담자와 내담자의 상담에 대한 집착을 내려놓는 것의 필요성을 발견하였다. 또한 하나님의 은혜와 은혜를 믿고 자기 굴복하는 내담자의 협력을 통한 영적 통합을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구는 영적 통합을 위해서 은혜와 그 은혜에 대한 인간의 믿음 역시 중요함을 상기시키며, 사회적 차원에서도 영적 통합의 성장을 촉진하는 기독(목회)상담의 가능성을 논의한다.

Studying on spiritual integration is needed owing to the close relationship between spirituality and psychology. This study examines Conn’s, Sperry’s and Kwon’s theories of spiritual integration and applies them to a pastoral counseling case. Single case study was used as a research method. The purpose of the study is to analyze the spiritual assessment, the counseling process and the experience of the client and the counselor, and to propose a spiritually integrated approach of pastoral counseling. The counseling process revealed the necessity of dealing with three issues suggested in supervision and of the counselor’s and client’s abandoning the obsession with the counseling. The study confirms a spiritual integration through God’s grace and client’s trusting it and surrendering to it, and reminds readers that not only God’s grace but man’s faith is critical for the spiritual integration, and discusses pastoral counseling facilitating the growth of spiritual integration in social dimensions.
