Abstract. The essential role of the Crimean Scientific Center of Shigabutdin Mardzhani Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of the Republic Tatarstan in study, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Republic Crimea has been specified. The third volume of the «Set of monuments of history, architecture and culture of the Crimean Tatars», dedicated to the antiquities of Muslim origin of the city of Simferopol, has been presented, its content has been analyzed in detail. A number of subjective remarks and comments have been indicated.
