Informatization of geomagnetic observations in Borok Geophysical Observatory

Abstract

The current state of informatization of geomagnetic observations in Borok Geophysical Observatory of Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth is demonstrated. The observatory measuring complex and different kinds of geomagnetic observations, architecture and software of a local access data logging network and corresponding digital data logging systems are also presented. The implementation of information technologies to operate geomagnetic data, including data logging, processing, storage and access is described. Some methods and programs to process the different kinds of raw geomagnetic data, architecture and software of a middle-latitude Borok Geophysical Observatory database are recounted. The work of Borok Geophysical Observatory in the international networks of magnetic observatories is considered.
