Author Biography

Renée Von Paschen, University of Vienna

Renée Von Paschen is a professional literary translator and bilingual poet. She has taught literary translation at the University of Innsbruck and currently teaches scholarly writing for PhDs at the University of Vienna. In 2013 Renée held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Austrian Studies, University of Minnesota. Born in Canada, she has a Master of Arts in Gender Studies and a PhD in Theater, Film and Media Studies from the University of Vienna. Her literary translations have been published all over Europe, the USA, Canada & Australia. Renée's own poetry has appeared in the USA, Canada & Austria in English, French and German. She is a member of PEN America Writers' Association. Her website is: www.art-translation.net
