패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업이 비장애고등학생의 장애수용태도 및 인권감수성에 미치는 영향

이 연구는 패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업 참여가 비장애고등학생의 장애수용태도 및 인권감수성에 미치는 효과를 규명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구 참여자는 A시에 위치한 고등학교 1학년 비장애학생 276명으로, 패럴림픽 수업 참여군 133명, 일반 체육 수업 참여군 143명으로 구성되었다. 본 연구에서 제공된 패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업은 패럴림픽 종목 중 하나인 보치아 경기를 선정하여 체육과 교육과정 내에 재구성한 후 5주간 비장애고등학생을 대상으로 실시되었다. 이 연구는 패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업이 비장애학생의 장애수용태도 및 인권감수성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보기 위해 설문 검사 도구를 사용하여 수업 전·후 장애수용태도와 인권감수성을 각각 평가하였다. 패럴림픽 수업 참여군과 일반 체육 수업 참여군의 동질성 검증을 위하여 독립 T 검증(Independent T test), 집단 내 사전, 사후 변화를 검증하기 위하여 종속 T 검증(pair T test), 중재 효과를 검증하기 위하여 반복측정 이원분산분석(Two-way ANOVA for repeated measures)을 실시하였다. 그 결과 패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업 참여 이후 장애수용태도의 하위 영역인 인지적 태도, 정서적 태도, 행동적 태도 모두에 긍정적인 변화가 나타났으며, 인권감수성의 하위 영역인 상황지각, 결과지각에서 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 패럴림픽 경기를 활용한 체육 수업이 비장애고등학생의 장애수용태도 및 인권감수성 향상에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

This study was conducted to determine the effects of participating in a physical education class about Paralympic sports on perceptive attitudes towards disabilities and human rights sensitivity of high school students without disabilities. A total of 276 (high school freshman students from city “A”) were chosen to participate, and were randomly divided into two groups; the group (n=133) to join a PE class about Paralympic sports and the group (n=143) to join a general PE class. The physical education class about Paralympic sports was conducted for high school students without disabilities for five weeks after selecting and incorporating Paralympic sports within the physical education curriculum. The survey tool was used to measure the perceptive attitudes of the students towards disabilities and human rights sensitivity before and after the physical education class about Paralympic sports. The independent t-test was used to assess the differences between the group that joined the PE class about Paralympic sports and the group to join a general PE class and the effects of the intervention program were assessed using the two-way repeated measures ANOVA. After the physical education class about Paralympic sports, the sub-areas of perceptive attitudes towards disabilities (cognitive attitude, emotional attitude, and behavioral attitude) and the sub-area of human rights sensitivity (perception of situations, perception of results) showed improvement. According to the results, the physical education class about Paralympic sports had a positive effect on perceptive attitudes towards disabilities and human rights sensitivity of high school students without disabilities.
