Abstract

The International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature has conserved the binomen Quetzalcoatlus northropi for a species of pterosaur that is the largest known flying organism, by ruling that both the generic name QuetzalcoatlusLawson, 1975 and specific name northropiLawson, 1975 are available and take authorship from Lawson, 1975.
