인성교육의 필요성이 사회적으로 대두됨에 따라 인성교육의 이론과 실제에 대한 기초연구가 필요한 실정이다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 인성교육의 기초원리를 밝혀낸 후, 학교 및 다양한 현장에서 활용될 수 있는 실천방안을 제시하고자 한다. 중학교 자유학기제와 고등학교방과 후 학교 등을 통해 일선 학교와 다양한 교육현장에서 인성교육이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 청소년 인성교육 프로그램을 평가 및 분석한 결과내용을 바탕으로 실천방안을 제안한다. 다양한 인성교육의 현장에서 활용이 가능한 구체적 내용을 제시하고, 인성교육의 철학적 원리와 기초내용을 토대로 하여 인성교육에 관한 다양한 논의들을 철학적 원리로서 정립하고자 한다. 본 논문이 제안하는 철학적 원리에 기초한 인성교육의 주제로는 〈자아, 우정, 사랑, 자유, 정의, 생명, 평화, 행복〉이 있다. 나아가 본 논문은 고중세철학의 행복론을 활용한 〈철학상담 행복 집단 프로그램〉을 제안한다. 이를 통해 고전철학 및 인문학에 기초한 인성교육이 다양한 형태의 인성교육을 철학적이고 통합적인 원리로서 구성 가능하다는 것을 밝히고자 한다. 본 논문은 고전적 덕목을 다루는 철학교육을 실천하는 것이 인성교육의 근본적인 취지를 달성할 수 있다고 주장한다.

As personality education emerges on the social level, there is a need for basic research on its theory and practice. Thus, this study set out to examine the basic principles of personality education and propose practical plans applicable to schools and various fields.
There is currently active personality education in schools and various fields of education through the free-semester system and after-school programs at the middle school level. This follow-up study is based on the results of an evaluation and analysis of personality education programs for adolescents. The goal is to provide a set of guidelines applicable to various fields of personality education and merge diverse discussions on personality education into a unified principle on the philosophy and basic content of personality education.
The present study examined the philosophical principles of personality education and proposed specific content for personality education programs applicable to the actual field, thus building a basic discussion about the theory and practice of personality education. The topics of personality education, based on philosophical principles, are "ego, friendship, love, freedom, justice, peace, and happiness".
The study proposed a "Happiness Group Program for Philosophical Counseling for Adolescents" based on the happiness theories of ancient and medieval philosophy, thus demonstrating that personality education grounded in classical philosophy and humanities could be unified under a single principle. The study also concluded that the fundamental goal of personality education for adolescents was value education with classical virtues.
