Abstract

E-government in India is still at a developing stage and established factors needs to be revisited and analyzed. Previous papers have discussed on different frameworks and case studies for e-government success in developed and developing countries. In our paper, we established factors by reviewing relevant papers published between 2005 to 2014 and proposed a framework for e-government success. We further observed similarities among India, Sri Lanka and UAE in terms of cultural dimensions. Thus, we tried to highlight the best practices for improving e-governance in India as learnt from these two countries. Our research will further help researchers theoretically with a conceptual framework and suggests the possible improvements for e-government success for managers to follow.
