본 연구는 장애와 노화라는 이중의 어려운 상황에 놓여 있는 재가장애노인을 대상으로 상실감과 자살생각과의 인과관계와 이들 간의 장애수용과 사회참여의 매개효과를 검증하기 위한 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해서 경기 및 충청지역에 거주하는 55세 이상의 재가장애노인 318명을 대상으로 위계적 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석한 결과, 재가장애노인의 상실감이 자살생각에 미치는 영향에 있어 장애수용과 사회참여 모두 부적(-) 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 하여 재가장애노인의 장애수용과 사회참여를 높여 자살생각을 완화하고 감소시켜 이들의 삶의 질을 개선할 수 있는 실천적, 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to verify the casual relation between a sense of loss and suicidal ideation and the mediating effects of disabilities acceptance and social participation in the community-dwelling disabled elderly, who are placed in dual difficult situations; aging with disabilities. For this, sampling was subject to 318 the community-dwelling disabled elderly, in Gyeonggi and Chungcheong region, citizens of 55 years old or older performed for data collection. Hierarchical regression analysis was used to verify the study. As result of the analysis, the influence of sense of loss of the community-dwelling disabled elderly on suicidal ideation, which was confirmed that disability acceptance and suicide ideation had negative mediating effect. Based on these research results, quality of life in which political and practical implications was suggested in order to increase level of disability acceptance and social participation of aging with disability in dwelling and also to lower suicide ideation.
