Abstract:
In Russian pedagogy the study of social environment dates back to the 19th century. Scientists noted that the environment directly affects the development of an individual. The social environment influences both the object and the subject of pedagogical activity. The main features of such an environment are its cultural conditioning, environmental aspects of language, pedagogization of the environment, its openness and value for educational purposes. “The pedagogy of the environment” represents a variety of different concepts and strategies which are aimed at applying the capabilities of the environment in the pedagogical process. The pedagogical process is represented using the following scheme: object - environment - subject. The environment which is surrounding the subject is a didactic environment. This kind of educational environment can help to achieve the desired learning goals as well as help the teacher and their students interact with each other.
