Abstract:
The research project is an irreplaceable element in academic education. Project participants have the chance to broaden their horizons, gain knowledge change the way look at the problem to be solved. The last feature seems to be the most significant.

The article presents a proposal for a plant growth chamber project. The prototype consists of a set of sensors responsible for collecting parameters, control unit, power supply system and receiving devices. The chamber can be used to grow plants in controlled climatic conditions (temperature, humidity, light) while eliminating the impact of the external environment and pollution. Acceleration of plant development is done by setting favorable parameters for the germination phase and acceleration of initial growth. The chamber can also be used to conduct research on the development of plants in difficult climatic conditions (low humidity, low light). By using a system equipped with a Wi-Fi interface, it is possible to read the parameters remotely, without using cabling.

The work presents a chamber prototype and describes potential development directions, including equipping the chamber with additional systems, user interface and functionality.
