Abstract:
Significant social changes have happened in these period and the global security situation has been changing. Security threats using explosives have become a priority in the world. Its happens due to the worsening of the global security situation and increasing in terrorist acts using explosives as a means of terrorist fight; due to the occurrence of industrial accidents caused by explosion of explosive substances and mixtures during their operation, transport or storage and removal of explosive afterward remnants in areas after the international armed conflicts.

The current situation in protection against blast effects in the mentioned areas, perceive lack of qualified workers with university education and practical skills needed to provide the required quality of pyrotechnic works in the armed forces, police, industry and transport. In the system of university education there is a lack of study program which would provide a managerial and technological orientation in security technologies of explosives or blast protection. Current study programme are divided in to the traditional areas (mechanical, civil, chemical engineering, management etc.), but we can to come to realize that new situation requires the new approach in the education, because it is the interdisciplinary problem about. The traditional areas are mingling, and a new concept of the education has to be prepared. The main objective of the paper is to describe the weakness of related university education system, the lack of study program providing a managerial and technological orientated education in security technologies of explosives or blast protection, the design and concept of such programme; and description of innovative educative approaches. For the preparation and training of qualified professionals is also important to be focused on the research orientated for the creating of new, high quality and comprehensive program for 1st and 2nd level of university education and subsequently modernization of laboratory education (with a focus on the most practical experience). Faculty of Security Engineering (University of Zilina, Slovakia) provides significant required subjects for this study problem in their study programmes, which are not united in one comprehensive programme and some fundamental subjects are missing. The paper is focused on the support of collaboration between university and partners, but mainly is about an association of universities with practice (business) on the current needs of educational innovation.
