Abstract:
In nowaday society, which gradually develops in the knowledge, where the indicator is the usage and approach to the modern and communicative technologies, the contents and the way of learning at the basic schools are changing. In the course of the 20th century technical and technological means started to develop quickly. These technologies brought initiatives and applications in the field of education. Therefore in the international comparative research we focus on the subject content which is realised in the subject informatics at the basic schools between the Czech and Slovak republic. These mentioned states had a common history, however from 1993, after the splitting both states, each curriculum started to differentiate.

At the research we compare obligatory curricular plans and we make efforts to encourage the factors which have effects on forming the subject content to the final form presented to the pupils. The aim on the research base is to find out the thematic units of curriculum which are taught at the basic schools and make comparison between the Czech and Slovak republic. The results are based proposals for curricular innovation in both states.
