This paper is written as an editorial about the construction of digital literature map. Literature maps for the paper book have been made national wide until now, but the digital literature map is, unlike the electronic cultural map, a new field. The literature map for paper books cannot offer sufficient information to satisfy the academic curiosity of readers because of its limits such as available paper space and difficulties in editing and saving. Digital literature map can, unlike the literature map for paper books, solve those limits and ultimately it has a merit that it can easily provide the reader the information on the author they are interested in, his/her life, and the books they published. This will be possible with the help of GIS, GPS, and advanced digital technology. Using the archive database of a certain author and constructing individual digital literature map through mediation/reproduction based on the information gained from the archive database will lead to complete the digital literature map national wide. This paper discusses the digital literature map only in a conceptual stage, but it can be actualized by the help of current technology and the accumulation of literary materials. The process to complete the digital literature map will be easier if there is a support from a various organization: organizations that have the experience of making literature maps for paper books, or local government organizations that have been hosting literature-related events. With all the support from individuals and organizations, it is possible to complete the national wide digital literature map.
