STEAM 기반 음악교육이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 창의성에 미치는 영향

A Study on Effect of STEAM-based Music Education on Young Children s Musical Interest and Musical Creativity

본 연구는 STEAM 기반 음악교육이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 음악적 창의성에 미치는 영향을 연구하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이를 통해 유아교육 기관에서 활용될 수 있는 STEAM 기반 음악교육의 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 실험연구는 G 지역 G 시에 위치한 U 유치원의 만 5세 유아들을 대상으로 연구하였다. 연구대상은 2학급 중 실험집단 18명(남아 7명, 여아 11명)과 비교집단 17명(남아 7명, 여아 10명), 총 35명으로 구성하였다. 연구결과 첫째, STEAM 기반 음악교육이 유아의 음악적 흥미의 하위요인인 노래 부르기, 음악 감상, 음악 관련 신체표현, 악기연주, 음악 만들기와 음악적 흥미 전체 수준 증진에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, STEAM 기반 음악교육이 유아의 음악적 창의성의 하위 요인인 음악적 유창성, 음악적 상상력, 음악적 독창성과 음악적 창의성 전체 수준 증진에 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 유아 음악중심 STEAM 프로그램 중, 음악을 중심 프로그램으로 구성하고 적용했다는 점과, 음악의 4가지 요소(멜로디, 리듬, 빠르기, 셈여림)를 주제로 음악의 내용적 지식을 STEAM으로 구성된 음악교육이 유아의 음악적 흥미와 창의성에 미치는 효과를 실험한 연구로써 시사하는 바가 크다고 볼 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of STEAM-based music education on the young children s musical interest and musical creativity. In this way, this study was to provide the basic data of STEAM-based music education which could be used in the early childhood educational institutes. For experimental research, this study was to do research as an object of five-years-old in full children in U kindergarten located in G City of G Province. For research object, this study was to compose of total 35 children in two classes: 18 children in the experimental group (7 boys, 11 girls) and 17 children in the comparative group (7 boys, 10 girls). From the result of this research above, it may be summed up as follows. First, STEAM-based music education had effect on the improvement of the overall level of singing, music appreciation, physical expression related to music, instrumental performance, making music, and musical interest as sub-factors of the young children s musical interest. Second, STEAM-based music education had effect on the improvement of the overall level of musical fluency, musical imagination, musical originality, and musical creativity as sub-factors of the young children s creativity. The significance of the study can be found in that it demonstrated that the music was composed and applied as central program among STEAM programs for young children focused on arts. In addition, this study was to investigate the effect of the music education which was composed of the content knowledge of music as STEAM on the young children s musical interest and creativity on the subject of four elements of music (melody, rhythm, tempo, dynamics).
