미국, 중국, 한국 주요 ICT기업의 비즈니스모델 혁신에 대한 사례 연구

본 연구에서는 한국 ICT기업이 글로벌 기업으로 성장할 수 없었던 이유가 무엇인지를 이미 글로벌 기업으로 성장한 미국과 글로벌 기업으로 성장하고 있는 중국의 ICT기업에서 찾아보고자 하였다. 이로써, 한국기업이 글로벌 기업으로 성장할 수 있도록 하는 발판이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 각 비즈니스모델의 정형화된 비교 분석을 위해 온톨로지 개념을 적용시키고 9 빌딩 블록을 연구 프로토콜로 사용하였다.
비교분석 결과 한국의 ICT기업은 미국과 중국의 ICT기업에 비해 9가지의 빌딩 블록 중 6가지가 미흡한 것으로 나타났으며, 중국은 미국과 비슷한 형태로 성장하고 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 미흡한 6가지의 빌딩블록은 고객 세그먼트, 가치 제안, 고객 관계, 수익원, 핵심 활동, 핵심 파트너십이다. 이 중 주요 차이점은 플랫폼 비즈니스 형성과 비즈니스영역의 확장이다. 미국의 ICT기업은 대부분 유통구조를 통제하고 있으며, 파트너십과 인수/합병 등을 통한 비즈니스영역 확장을 꾀하고 있었다. 또한, 생태계를 구축하려는 노력이 돋보였다.

This study tried to find a reason why Korean ICT firms could not grow as a global firm from the Chinese ICT firms that were growing into the global firm with US which already grew as a global company. This study applied the Ontology concept for the stereotyped comparative analysis of each business model and used 9 building blocks as the study protocol. As a result of comparative analysis, Korean ICT firms were insufficient in 6 building blocks among 9 ones compared to the US and Chinese ICT firms, and it was confirmed China was growing in a similar form to US. Insufficient 6 building blocks were customer segments, value propositions, customer relationships, revenue streams, key activities, and key partnerships. The main difference of them is the formation of the platform business and the expansion of the business area. Most US ICT firms are controlling the distributive structure and are planning to expand the business area through the partnership, acquisition, and merger. Also, they tried to build the ecosystem.
