Using the diagonal free-Fermion terrace-step-kink model coupled with an Ising-spin system, we investigate "the adatom effect" on the thermodynamic properties of the vicinal surface. The adatom is expressed in terms of the Ising spin. For the infinite range spin-spin interaction, the exact free energy is obtained.
