ABSTRACT

An Egyptian IT company is used here to illustrate how company culture can create a competitive advantage even though the national culture is not supportive. The company followed an internationalization strategy right from the start to side step an underdeveloped local market. Leadership company strategy, structure and human resources management were important in creating a company dynamic culture that is distinct from the stable national culture.
