예비교사를 위한 시민성 측정도구 개발 및 타당화 연구

A Study on Validation of an Instrument to Measure Citizenship for Pre-service Elementary Teachers

본 연구는 초등학교 예비교사가 갖춰야 할 시민성 구성요인을 탐색해보고 예비교사의 시민성 측정도구를 개발하여 타당화하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 예비교사를 위한 시민성 측정도구에 포함될 하위구인들을 밝히고 예비교사의 시민성에 관한 문헌연구와 전문가 의견을 수렴하여 글로벌 시민성, 디지털 시민성, 학교 시민성 3개 영역에 대한 초기문항을 개발하였다. 그리고 신뢰도 분석을 통해 확정한 25개 문항에 대한 탐색적 요인분석으로 5요인을 추출해냈다. 이 과정에서 일부 요인의 문항내용이 미세하게 조정되었다. 이후 확인적 요인분석을 통해 예비교사의 시민성이 크게 연대, 비판, 실천, 공유, 참여로 구분된다는 선행연구를 근거로 고차 요인구조의 적합여부를 판단하였다. 그 결과 1요인 고차요인 모형의 측정문항이 5개 하위요인에서 안정적인 신뢰성을 나타내고 있음을 확인하였다. 이에 개발된 예비교사의 시민성 측정도구는 예비교사에게 꼭 필요한 교직역량에 관한 5개의 하위요인을 적절히 반영하고 있으며, 문항내용의 타당성이 잘 설명되었다고 볼 수 있었다. 결론적으로 본 예비교사를 위한 시민성 측정도구는 학생 시민(student citizen)의 위상과 역할이 주목받는 현시점에서 그 수준을 탐색할 수 있는 시험적 검사도구가 될 것으로 기대되었다. 또한 앞으로 예비교사의 시민성 역량을 강화하는 프로그램으로 시행하거나 개발할 때 유용한 기초정보를 제공해줄 것으로 기대되었다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the elements of citizenship that elementary school pre-service teachers should have, and to develop and validate a pre-service teacher s citizenship measurement tool. To this end, we have identified sub-jobs to be included in the citizenship measurement tool for prospective teachers. In addition, by collecting literature research and expert opinions on citizenship of pre-service teachers, initial questions were developed in three areas: global citizenship, digital citizenship, and school citizenship. And 5 factors were extracted through exploratory factor analysis for 25 items confirmed through reliability analysis. In this process, the item content of some factors was finely adjusted. After that, through a confirmatory factor analysis, the suitability of the higher-order factor structure was judged based on previous studies that the citizenship of pre-service teachers was largely divided into solidarity, criticism, practice, sharing, and participation. As a result, the measurement items of the 1-factor high-order factor model showed stable reliability in 5 sub-factors. The developed tool for measuring citizenship of pre-service teachers appropriately reflects the five sub-factors related to teaching competency, which is essential for pre-service teachers, and it can be seen that the validity of the content of the item has been explained. In conclusion, this tool for measuring citizenship for pre-service teachers was expected to be a test tool to explore the level of student citizens at the present time, where the status and role of student citizens are attracting attention. In addition, it is expected to provide useful basic information when implementing or developing a program that strengthens the citizenship competency of prospective teachers in the future.
