박상순의 시는 기호와 이미지의 차원에서 난해성, 모호성 등의 규명을 위한 일관된 논의로서 진행되어왔다. 그러나 그의 시를 자세히 살피면, 소외를 통해 시 세계를 현시하고 있다. 소외는 자크 라캉의 주요한 개념인데, 이는 자아와 주체 형성 과정에서 필연적으로 발생하는 결과이다. 박상순은 대략 10년마다 시집 1~2권을 출간하며, 시기마다 소외를 다르게 표시하고 있다. 본 논문은 그의 초기 시집에 나타난 소외 양상을 통해, 시 시계를 조망할 예비적, 계기적 고찰을 하고자 한다. 특히, 그의 초기 시집 『6은 나무 7은 돌고래』, 『마라나, 포르노 만화의 여주인공』에는 1차 소외 전후의 양상이 두드러지게 나타난다. 그는 이를 드러내는 방법으로 반복을 활용한다. 반복은 상징계와의 거리 두기와 상상계로의 회귀를 나타내는 특징적 언술 양상이다. 단어 및 문장, 문형, 기호의 반복을 통해 소외의 당위성과 개연성을 획득하고, 나아가 반복을 문체적 자질로써 획득한다. 요컨대, 분리하는 육체와 자기분실의 양상, 거울 단계와 소외하는 ‘나’의 양상, 해체하는 텍스트와 와해하는 말의 양상은 반복을 통해 나타난 주요한 시적 징후를 드러내고 있다. 이와 같은 고찰은 박상순 시에 짙게 스민 초현실풍의 시 쓰기와도 관계하므로, 논의할 가치가 있다.

Previous studies on Park Sangsoon invariably focused on shedding light on the abstruse and ambiguous symbols and images found in his poems. However, on a closer examination, his poetry ins manifested through alienation. Alienation is one of the key concepts of Jacque Lacan’s theory. To Lacan, alienation is an unavoidable result of the formation of the self and the subject. Park publishes one or two poem collections every decade, and his poems represent alienation in different ways in each period. This study provides a preliminary analysis on how alienation is represented in Park’s early poems, to lay a foundation for overviewing his poetry. Park Sangsoon’s early collections, such as 『Six is a Tree and Seven is a Dolphin』 and 『Marana, the Heroine of a Cartoon Porn』, show conspciuous signs of primary alienation. He uses repetition as a way to express alienation. In his poems, alienation is represented through repetition. Repetition is a discursive pattern that represents the distancing of oneself from the symbolic and the return to the imaginary. The legitimacy and likelihood of alienation is obtained through the repetition of words, sentences, sentence structures, and signs, through which repetition becomes a stylistic quality. Separating bodies and self-loss, the mirror stage and alienating ‘self,’ and deconstructing texts and collapsing words represent poetic signs manifesting through repetition. These aspects warrant deeper academic treatment because they are also related to the surrealistic poem-writing that heavily permeate the poetry of Park Sangsoon.
