The purpose of this study is to discuss the consumption culture of Modern Boys, which was popular in Kyungsung from the late 1920s to the mid 1930s, in relation to their use of language, which is a symbol of invisible Westernness. This is because, in the 1920s and 1930s, when discussing the visible aspects such as the appearance of Modern Boys and the attitude of life, which were discussed in previous studies, I tried to concentrate on used English sound and notation. Modern Boys used English as spoken Japanese spoken sound without spelling, and overuse cases were widespread even when unnecessary. In comparison with the English of the flowering period missionaries, the consumption culture has become popular. Since the 1920s, the pronunciation of the Japanese language has been changed with the use of the English language. The flow of the English language is evidenced through magazines, newspaper reports and serialized novels in sociolinguistic and cultural contexts. Therefore, this study presented the records published during 1920s~1930s, at that time including Maeilsinbo, Dong-a Ilbo, and magazines such as Byeolgeongon, Dong-gwang, Sinmin..
