Abstract:
The most critical aspects of diseases of vegetable and ornamental crops as a consequence of the spread of new diseases are considered. Breeding, use of cultural practices and soil amendments, biological control agents and diagnostic tools are discussed as possible options for reducing the importance of soil-borne pathogens.
