본 연구에서는 발달장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 심리적 안녕감 및 양육행동간의 관계를 확인하고, 심리적 안녕감이 양육스트레스와 양육행동에 있어서 매개적 역할을 하는지 검증하였다· 연구의 대상은 서울 및 경기도 소재 초등학교에 재학 중인 발달장애아동을 양육하고 있는 어머니를 대상으로 하였다· 본 연구에서 밝혀진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다· 첫째, 발달장애아동 어머니가 양육스트레스를 높게 지각할수록 온정·수용행동은 감소하고, 거부·제재행동과 허용·방임행동은 증가하는 것으로 나타났다· 둘째, 발달장애아동 어머니가 양육스트레스를 높게 지각할수록심리적 안녕감이 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다· 셋째, 발달장애아동 어머니의 심리적 안녕감이 높을 수록 온정·수용행동은 증가하고, 거부·제재행동과 허용·방임행동은 감소하는 것으로 나타났다· 넷째, 발달장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 양육행동의 관계에서 심리적 안녕감의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 어머니의 심리적 안녕감이 양육스트레스와 온정·수용행동의 관계에서 완전매개효과를 가지며, 양육스트레스와 거부·제재행동과 허용·방임행동의 관계에서는 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다· 이와 같이 본 연구를 통하여 발달장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 양육행동의 관계에서 심리적 안녕감의 매개효과를 규명하였으며, 발달장애아동 어머니의 양육행동에 대한 어머니의 내적인 요인에 대해 통합적으로 살펴봄으로써 어머니의 긍정적인 양육행동을 효과적으로 지원할 수 있는 방안을 탐색하고 궁극적으로 발달장애아동의 건강한 성장과 발달을 돕는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다·

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of psychological well-being on the relationships between parenting stress and parenting behavior of mothers of children with developmental disabilities. Participates were 185 mothers of children with developmental disabilities who have children attending elementary schools in Seoul and Gyeong-gi do. The results of this study were as follows; First, mothers who had high levels of parenting stress displayed lower warmth-acceptance parenting behaviors and higher rejection-restriction and permissive-nonintervention parenting behaviors. Second, mothers`` parenting stress had a significant negative effect on psychological well-being. Third, mothers who had high levels of psychological well-being displayed higher levels of warmth-acceptance parenting behaviors and lower rejection-restriction and permissive-nonintervention parenting behaviors. Fourth, the psychological well-being relationship between parenting stress and warmth -acceptance parenting behaviors were found to be completely mediated. Moreover, the psychological well-being relationship between parenting stress and rejectionrestriction and permissive-nonintervention parenting behavior in mothers of children with developmental disabilities were found to be partially mediated. This study verified the mediating effects of psychological well-being on the relationship between parenting stress and parenting behavior of mothers of children with developmental disabilities.
