Oxygen transfer is a very important factor in sewage treatment plants and aquaculture growth systems. The Plackett-Burman method is an advantageous design for determining important variables among many variables that affect to a systems. In this study, the Plackett-Burman experiment method was applied to evaluate the significance of the shape factor to increase the oxygen transfer coefficient of the acoustic resonator. The height of the upper hole(A), the height of the diagonal line(B), the height of acoustic resonator(C), the lower base diameter(D), the diameter of the air inlet(E) and the height of the air inlet(F) were selected experimental shape factors. By using the Plackett-Burman experiment, the height(C), bottom diameter(D), and slope height(B) were identified significant shape factors. Response surface methodology used to select the optimal length for the shape variables to increase the oxygen transfer coefficient of the acoustic resonator. The optimum height of the diagonal line(B) was 1 mm, tthe height of acoustic resonator(C) was 44 mm, the lower base diameter(D) was 26 mm, respectively. The coefficient of determination(R2) for the multivariate regression equation of KLa was as high as 98.4%. The regression equation is as follows. KLa(hr-1) = 7.32347 + 0.60653 B + 0.22924 C - 0.59478 D - 0.00296 C2 + 0.01807 D2 - 0.02078 BC + 0.00495 CD
