This qualitative study is aimed at helping gain a new understanding of young disabled women's efforts in seeking the meaning of job searches. Data was collected by in-depth interviews with two young disabled women with a physical disability. The study reveals that the participants underwent changes during the process of job searches, divided into experience of 'becoming members of society' and 'searching for work'. Specifically, they 'tried themselves what hasn't been done,' 'made a trip to and from a certain place alone,' 'faced up to frightening strangers courageously,' and experienced 'fear’, ‘pressure’, and 'weightiness.' In the process, they experienced changes: 'the self-sustaining will’, ‘people being together,' ‘facing up to reality’, ‘seeking the alternative possibility.' Based on these revealed phenomena, the researcher was able to interpret them as seeking for 'self' as a social being and lost 'self.' This will show job searching efforts of young disabled women with a physical disability need to aim for practical education and policy application approached from the individual development and psychological aspect.
