Geïnterviewde 25 is in 1924 in Kelanit (Kei) geboren. Na de inval van Japan tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog blijven er Japanners gelegerd in het dorp Kelanit. Geïnterviewde is toen begin 1944 'getrouwd' met een Japanse soldaat. Deze soldaat met de naam Osato kwam toestemming vragen aan de vader van geïnterviewde. Zij ziet de relatie niet als gedwongen, omdat de soldaat toestemming had gevraagd aan haar vader.
Geïnterviewde wordt door de andere dorpsbewoners niet benadeeld of anders bejegend vanwege haar relatie met een Japanse soldaat. Het wordt tijdens het interview niet geheel duidelijk in hoeverre de relatie van geïnterviewde met de Japanse soldaat berust op een vrijwillige keuze van geïnterviewde. Geïnterviewde raakt zwanger van de Japanse soldaat. Zij krijgt een dochter. Na een week komt de Japanse soldaat met allerlei cadeautjes en geeft hun dochter de naam Yosiko. Tegelijkertijd vertelt hij dat Japan capituleert. Na de Japanse capitulatie vertrekt de Japanse soldaat en geïnterviewde verneemt nooit meer iets van hem. Hun dochter blijft in Kelanit wonen. Zij trouwt daar en krijgt elf kinderen.
In 1949 trouwt geïnterviewde met geïnterviewde 39. Samen met haar echtgenoot verhuist zij naar Ambon-stad, waar haar man politieagent is. Inmiddels is hij gepensioneerd.
Geïnterviewde is onlangs met haar echtgenoot terug geweest naar Kelanit. Zij hebben overwogen om voorgoed terug te gaan, maar menen dat zij niet meer kunnen leven met de mentaliteit van de dorpsbewoners.
- Tijdens het interview wordt geïnterviewde bijgestaan door haar echtgenoot omdat zij nagenoeg blind is en hardhorend.- Transcriptie ontbreekt, evenals vertaling.
