To review breast lesions not arising in duct-lobular system.
To analyze imaging features (mammogram,
US,
MR) and pathologic findings.
To review pitfalls,
diagnostic difficulties and differential diagnosis.
Background
The normal glandular tissue is made up of ducts,
terminal ducts,
and acini and is supported by fibrous tissue.
Most breast lesions arise from the duct-lobular system,
involving the epithelium,
and so breast cancer is the most common malignancy.
But many other entities,
either benign,
or malignant may appear within the breast.
Nonepithelial lesions are rare,
and may be found arising in structures other than duct-lobular system or by infiltration of the breast by different cells or substances or nearby structures.

Findings and procedure details
We present:
A.
Breast lesions arising in different breast gland components:
1.Skin.
-Sebaceous cysts.
Epidermal inclusion cysts
They are the most frequent skin lesions,
caused by a proliferation of squamous epithelium within the dermis or epidermis.
Imaging findings ( Fig. 1 ).
• Mammograms. Usually circumscribed nodules .
• US.
Circumscribed hypoechoic or heterogeneous lesions with through transmission included in the dermal plane.
Inflammatory or ruptured lesions may present with ill-defined margins .
• MR.
Usually not studied with MR may appear as incidental findings....
Conclusion
The radiologist should be familiar with diagnostic images in different entities arising within the breast in structures other than the duct-lobular system in order to be able to recognize them.
