초록

The purpose of this study was to examine gender gap on ecological attitude types of nature For this study, ecological attitude types were surveyed from 275 people(101 men and 174 women). The measurement instrument was made of 12 blocks, each of them comprised stimulus word and four association words. By measurement instrument, four main ecological attitude types are usually distinguished: a person perceives nature as a beauty object/source (aesthetical attitude), as cognition/knowledge acquisition object (cognitive attitude), as a safety/conservation object (ethical attitude) and as a benefit source (pragmatic attitude). The presented words corresponded to the concrete attitude type(aesthetic, cognitive, ethical, pragmatic). The results of this study were as follows. First, the aesthetic attitude was prevalent in the attitude structure of these people. The last according to the ranking was the pragmatic attitude. Correspondingly, in the second position was the ethical, and in the third-the cognitive one. Second, in aesthetic and cognitive attitudes, women ranked higher than men, and in ethical and practical attitudes, men ranked higher than women.
