Executive Summary:
This report evaluates SAP NetWeaver Portal, Knowledge Management, and Collaboration against our evaluation framework for customer portals. These offerings create a portal platform with facilities that will help you design, develop, deploy, and support customer portals that deliver a customer experience that is tightly integrated with all of the SAP enterprise applications. SAP NetWeaver Portal is widely used and well proven. It’s based on technology that SAP acquired with TopTier in 2001. SAP has introduced two major versions of the portal platform since the acquisition. A point release is currently in preview and is planned for general availability later this year.
