The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual statue of school counselors' preparation and the performance of their roles in inclusive education for students with disabilities. The subjects were 131 school counselors of secondary schools in Korea. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, although school counselors had a good understanding of inclusive education, their level of preparation for counseling students with disabilities was relatively low. Second, there was a big gap between the perceived levels of their role performance as school counselors and their actual levels for counseling students with disabilities. Third, only a few school counselors worked in cooperation with special education teachers or classroom teachers of students with disabilities. Based on these results, several suggestions were made for school counseling and future studies.
