Methylvirensat und 5-Chlor Methylvirensat aus Arten der Flechtengattung Pseudocypbellaria/ Methyl-virensate and 5-Chloro-methyl-virensate from Species of the Lichen Genus Pseudocyphellaria

  • Bernd Renner , Aino Henssen and Ernst Gerstner

The two new lidien depsidones methyl-virensate and 5-Cl methyl-virensate were found in the lichens Pseudocyphellaria physciospora and Pseudocyphellaria granulata. Structure elucidation of the new compounds was carried out using UV/VIS-, 1H-NMR- and El-mass-spectroscopy. In TLC studies 5-Cl methyl-virensate may be confused with pannarin. The close relationship of the two new lidien substances to atranorin and Cl-atranorin is discussed.
