René Peinl is full professor for business information systems at Hof University where he is teaching architecture of Web applications. He is also head of the research group systems integration at the associated institute for information systems. His work is about integrating open source information systems in order to support knowledge work. He is member of the Gesellschaft für Wissensmanagement and the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI), as well as the Open Source Business Alliance and Open Source Integration Initiative.
