5th International Conference of the Flow Chemistry Society (Berlin, Germany, February 17–18, 2015)

  • Timothy Noël EMAIL logo

Introduction

In the past two decades, flow chemistry has grown from an academic curiosity to a mature science domain with applications ranging from pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals to highly innovative materials.

To further drive this evolution forward, the Flow Chemistry Society organises their 5th European Conference with the aim to unite and represent those who are actively working on this rapidly developing field.

The Flow Chemistry Society is dedicated to the integration of Flow Chemistry into everyday practice, by delivering the latest knowledge and making it available for the entire chemistry community. Contributions from academia as well as industry make this conference unique and a must for those who are interested in this exciting field. In addition, the symposium provides excellent networking opportunities to meet the people behind the research and the industrial applications.

Conference topics and theme

The Conference and associated Vendor Exhibition cover the latest technological advances and associated services within the field of flow chemistry and microreactor technology. Several topics will be discussed during the different sessions:

  • Photochemistry in flow

  • Multistep synthesis in flow

  • Synthesis of solid materials in flow

  • Flow chemistry in industry

  • Engineering aspects of flow chemistry

  • Use of alternative energy sources in flow.

Venue

The conference takes place at the elegant Hotel Berlin, which is located in the heart of Berlin’s city centre.

As the capital city of Germany, Berlin is a historically rich place and has a wealth of monuments and landmarks. One third of the city is composed of parks, gardens and rivers. The city is also known for its culture, vibrating nightlife, art scene, etc.

So let us kill two birds with one stone… during the day we will share some excellent talks by recognized researchers in the field of flow chemistry and during the evening and night we will enjoy the different facets of this fantastic city. I will be there; I hope we can welcome you as well!
