Evaluation of factors influencing performance of world class supply chains using structural equation modelling - with a case study in the food industry

Abstract: The aim of this article is to determine the factors influencing the performance of world class supply chains in order to facilitate integration and flexibility in the food industry in which, products have high sensitivity for maintaining community health and sanitation. For this purpose, logistical, procurement, communication and information technology factors have been investigated in a number of food industry factories of Khorasan Razavi Province of Iran using structural equation modelling. Findings indicate positive influence of the studied factors on the performance of world class supply chains in the food industry at 95% confidence level.
