International Journal of Exergy (IJEX), Vol. 39, No. 4, 2022

Abstract: The energy and exergy analyses of a heat pump were experimentally carried out for refrigerants R134A, R404A, R407C. The effect of the environmental temperature (outdoor air temperature) between 25°C and 30°C on the coefficient of performance (COP) and exergy efficiencies of the components of the heat pump were investigated. The maximum values of exergy efficiencies were obtained by using R407C as refrigerant in the cycle. The highest value of exergy efficiency occurred in the outdoor unit as 93.23% with R407C.
