Abstract

We estimated the economic impact to paper tube recycling.  Almost half of paper tubes were disposed and burned in Japan.  Our material flow survey revealed that 320 thousand ton of paper tube was produced in Japan and 180 thousand ton was burned.  Paper tube wastes were produced from limited source.
The estimation result showed that the paper tube industry would have 1.25 billion yen of economic benefit with the 'green' paper tube technology.
