Das Standortauswahlgesetz und der Abschlussbericht der Endlager-Kommission formulieren die zentrale Zielsetzung, den Endlagerstandort zu finden, der die bestmögliche Sicherheit für einen Zeitraum von einer Million Jahren gewährleistet. Sicherheit ist auch ein in den Medien häufig erwähntes und diskutiertes Thema. Doch das Instrument zum Nachweis der Sicherheit ‐ der Safety Case ‐ findet bei Beteiligten, Betroffenen und Interessierten offensichtlich unterschiedliche Aufmerksamkeit und Akzeptanz. Es stellt sich die Frage, was zu tun ist, um zu einer breiter akzeptierten Form des Safety Case zu gelangen.
