Abstract: Cardamine violifolia,Cardamine hupingsh anensis and Cardamine enshiensis exist the phenomenon of confused naming. They are difficult to be distinguished from the external form of the plant. In order to study the genetic relationship of Cardamine hirsuta, different populations from four representative place were collect of.Ribosomal DNA(nr DNA) internal transcribed spacer(ITS) sequences were comparatively analyzed. The phylogenetic tree was constructed. The results showed that the full-length ITS sequences of all materials tested were 709 bp,consisted with the material base sequences from Changyang and the Wufeng. There were two base sites different from Enshi and Huping. The four groups of Cardamine hirsuta were in one cluster. The genetic distance between populations was between 0 ~0.003,not exceeding a range of variation. It is indicated that the Cardamine hirsuta of four different origins are the same species as the Cardamine violifolia.
