Abstract: To study the polymorphism of the follicle stimulating hormone receptor(FSHR) gene in German shepherd dog,the primers were designed according to the sequence of exon1 of the FSHR gene from boxer dog that was reported in the GenBank by using the genome of police German shepherd as a template. The sequence of exon1 of the FSHR gene was cloned and determined using PCR technology, and then was compared and analyzed using BLAST. The results showed that the genetic homologies among thirty tested German shepherd dogs were up to100%; the genetic homologies among the six tested dogs were 99. 6%. There was a sense mutation:SNP T89 C.
