Soil Structure Fractal Features of Typical Forest Land and Its Effect on Soil Anti-erodibility and Soil Anti-scourability in Yizhe Watershed,Water Source Area at Middle Area of Yunnan ProvinceChinese Full Text

Abstract: To explore the relationship of the soil structure fractal features and soil erosion resistance,the soil pore size distribution(SPD),the partical size distribution(PSD)and the micro-aggregate size distribution(ASD)of the soil fractal features of the 3typical forests(mixed Pinus yunnanensis-Eucalyptus forests,Eucalyptus forest forests and Eucalyptus forests)with sloping land as control in Yizhe watershed,the one of important water source area of Kunming city were studied and its impact on soil anti-erodibility and soil anti-scourability was analyzed based on the fractal theory,the elasticity analysis and marginal yield analysis.The results showed that in the typical forests of the studies,the soil SPD was 2.687 9~2.741 3,the PSD was 2.759 6~2.856 9,and the ASD was 2.701 3~2.731 1.The soil structure of the forests was better than that of the sloping land.Soil erosion corrosion resistance of forest land was better than that of sloping land,the impact of mixed forest on enhancing soil anti-erodibility and soil anti-scourability was better with increasing slope.Soils resist index was the largest(39.0%)at the conifer forests,followed by Eucalyptus woodland(37.0%),Pinus yunnanensis forests reached to a minimum(24.0%),but were better than that of sloping land(20.1%).Soil resists was significantly different at the same soil level in different woodlands,and with increasing soil depth,soil corrosion index decreased.Relational model were:γ =(4.27×10-21)D7.867tD-56.048jD1.514kandγ=(1.67×10-14)D-50.063tD-0.813jD19.468 k,correlation coefficients were 0.819 and 0.841.There also were the certain relationships between the PSD,ASD,SPD and soil erosion in the different forests and farmland.The related coefficient was over 0.8.Based on the elasticity analysis and marginal yield analysis,the impacts of soil fractal dimensions on soil anti-erodibility and soil anti-scourability were greatly different,and the effects of SPD was more than those of ASD and PSD to soil erosion.Fractal structure had more significant impact on soil anti-erodibility than soil anti-scourability.
