Discussion on citation data of Journal of Xi’an University of Science and TechnologyChinese Full Text

Abstract: Journal of Xi’an University of Science and Technology is a comprehensive scientific and technological academic journal sponsored by XUST. It’s renamed two times,one time issue changed,and selected National Chinese Core Periodicals four times since its found 1981. Due to the intense competition in the field,the Journal faces the new challenge. Through analysis of statistical evaluation index for the Journal in 2013,the authors conclude that papers quality has a direct effect on the citation data of the Journal,the editorial board and paper-supervisors should pay attention to the paper quality,refuse relation-related papers,and guide authors to cite literatures available. Discipline teams should pay attention,absorb and cite predecessors’ research results to reduce unnecessary repeated work,shorten papers lenghth and save social public resources. Only continuously absorb high-quality papers and expand the Journal’s influence in the field,can its citation data be gradually boosted to ensure the Journal’s quality and lay a necessary basis for the sustainable development of the Journal.
