Abstract: In order to evaluate hybridization effect of different combinations of O. niloticus and O. aureus, interspecific combination of New GIFT,Sultan stocks of Nile tilapia and Maoming and Israel stocks of blue tilapia were carried out in small earth pool, while the New GIFT was chosen as control group. In the test, the fry amount and male percentage of different combinations were compared. The results showed that the fry amounts reproduced by Nile tilapia was significantly higher than those of interspecific hybridization groups, and the New GIFT ♀ × Israel ♂ combination had the highest number among the interspecific hybridization groups. The male percentage of interspecific hybridization combination progeny was significantly higher than that of Nile tilapia. Within the experimental groups, the New GIFT ♀ × Maoming ♂ combination had the highest male percentage.
